SOD & LAWN INSTALL.

Sod, hydroseed, and drought-tolerant grasses — properly soil-prepped, properly graded, properly watered. Lawns that establish in days, not months.

Why this matters

PROPER SOIL PREP
BEATS PROPER WATERING.

A new lawn that fails almost always failed because of soil prep, not watering. Compacted clay, poor amendments, no drainage planning — none of those problems show until the grass starts dying in July. We strip, amend, grade, and install correctly the first time.

We install Kentucky bluegrass sod (most common), tall fescue blends (drought-friendlier), and hydroseed where sod isn't practical. Drip-edge sprinkler integration is standard.

FAQ

SOD & LAWN INSTALL QUESTIONS.

Sod vs hydroseed?

Sod = instant lawn, takes 7-14 days to root. Hydroseed = 4-8 weeks to fill in, costs about half. Most clients pick sod.

How much for a 1,000 sqft lawn?

Sod: $1,500-$3,000. Hydroseed: $700-$1,400. Soil prep adds $500-$1,500 depending on existing condition.

Best time to install sod in Utah?

Spring (April-June) and fall (September-October) are ideal. Summer installs work but need extra watering during establishment.

Will it survive Utah drought rules?

Yes if zoned and watered properly. We work with state-recommended turf areas and drought-tolerant blends where appropriate.

Maintenance after install?

Daily watering for 2 weeks (we provide schedule), then weekly mowing once rooted. We can include first-season maintenance plan.

Can I replace just dead patches?

Yes — we do patch sod work. Smaller jobs typically $200-$500.
